We are hiring! Circet UK is looking for a Chargehand to join our Power division. This role is key to supporting the delivery of overhead power line construction and maintenance projects up to and including 132kV. You will work closely with the Project Manager and lead site teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of works.

Responsibilities of the Chargehand:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate overhead line teams, tower painting crews, and civil works teams on-site.
- Work Planning: Organise daily tasks, allocate resources, and ensure work is completed according to project plans and specifications.
- Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce company safety policies and procedures, ensuring all works comply with HSEQ standards.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor workmanship and ensure all activities meet technical and quality requirements.
- Communication: Act as the main point of contact on-site for the Project Manager, providing updates on progress and any issues.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve on-site challenges promptly to avoid delays.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any incidents.
- Client Interaction: Support positive client relationships by ensuring professionalism and quality delivery on-site.
Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
- Technical Experience: Previous experience in overhead line construction and maintenance up to 132kV.
- Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of HSEQ regulations and safe working practices.
- Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate site teams effectively.
- Qualifications: CDM awareness; IOSH/NEBOSH desirable.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with UK power networks; DNO Authorisation, NPG Authorisation.
- Communication: Clear and confident communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.

Additional Information:
- This role will require regular travel, with overnight stays in accommodation provided along with allowances for board.
- A Full UK Drivers License is required, with access to your own vehicle for travel to satellite offices across the region.
- This is a team-based position, 3 engineers and 1 Chargehand will travel together in a company vehicle to sites across the region.
- 50hr working week, standard + paid at hourly rate.
- Weekend work will be required, Saturday is paid at hourly rate, Sunday is paid at 2x hourly rate.
- Daily bonuses available dependent on productivity.
- You will also participate in a standby rota for emergency call outs across the region, with additional compensation included to be discussed at interview stage.
