We are hiring! Circet Wireless are looking for a HSEQ Auditor to join our team. Working with Circet, Circet Ireland & UK have built an ever-growing portfolio of specialist services. We are leading providers to the Telecommunications, Transport Infrastructure and Power Sectors in Ireland and the UK. Key Tasks

  • Assisting with site safety checks to ensure all subcontractor signing, guarding and traffic management in general is appropriate and as per NRSWA red book.
  • Undertaking systematic and ad-hoc inspections of highways works, investigation of potential infringements.
  • Instructing contractor crews on appropriate signing and guarding as necessary.
  • Assisting with site visits & inspections to assess crews engaged in civils and cabling works.
  • Assisting with site surveys in conjunction with operational teams to assist in initial works process.
  • Assisting Project Manager/Site Agents to walk routes with subcontractor to ensure work is completed to the correct HSE standard.
  • Assist with inductions.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Relevant experience required – Minimum 2 years.
  • Knowledge of Utility sectors including but not limited to, Telecoms, Rail & Power.

General

  • Carry out such other duties as are consistent with the job-holder's knowledge and skills and are necessary for the satisfactory completion of contract or for attainment of the goals of the business.

Health & Safety Compliance

  • Follow site practices and routines to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, including the company H & S Policy, to minimise the likelihood of accidents and the resulting fines and compensation claims.
  • Document and record all site hazards and feed information back to management so that site operatives are fully aware when they attend site to complete the works.
  • Understand and implement the company safety policy.
  • Appreciate the responsibilities of personnel under their authority and ensure that each employee knows his/her responsibility and are equipped to play their part.
  • Engage with all employees on their contract should they fail to discharge their Health and Safety responsibilities.
  • Ensure that Risk Assessments and Method Statements on activities within their contract are carried out on site and ensure that the methods and systems of work are safe.
  • Ensure the provision of written instructions of work methods outlining potential hazards and precautions, and ensure they are complied with.
  • Ensure accident and near-miss reporting procedures are understood and complied with and assist with accident investigations where appropriate.
  • Ensure that the agreed audit process is carried out in compliance with Company guidelines.
  • Ensure ongoing monitoring of safety and health performance against predetermined plans and standards.
  • Ensure all employees are correctly trained/competent to carry out the prescribed task and that the necessary licenses/certificates of competence are in force and appropriate and supplied for the purpose of recording.

  • Ensure sufficient provision of PPE on all contracts.
  • Monitor the design, development, installation and operation of management arrangements, safety systems and workplace precautions.
  • Ensure accurate recording and monitoring of all HSE records, including but not exhaustive, accidents, ill health, incidents and other evidence of deficient safety and health performance.
  • Ensure monitoring of all equipment on your contract/s, and assessment of its accuracy and reliability, calibration and regular maintenance of this equipment together with documented records of both the procedures involved and the results obtained.
  • Ensure the Statutory Notices, the Safety Policy, Insurance Certificate and the names of Appointed First Aiders are displayed and maintained in prominent locations.
