What will you be doing? Senior Corporate Counsel, Deputy Chief Privacy Officer, is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of our global data privacy program. You will report to the Chief Privacy Officer. You will work across and build relationships with key leaders in our Sales, Technology (including security, infrastructure, product, and operations), HR, and Legal teams.
You can expect that your time will be comprised of responding to data privacy questions from our internal teams, leading the continuous improvement of our data privacy program (including by monitoring and interpreting changes in data privacy laws globally), and negotiating data privacy and information security terms in our commercial contracts. Most of the interactions within your team and across the organization will be through a virtual work environment.
Job Responsibilities
Serve as the primary contact for, and develop trusting relationships with, internal teams on data privacy matters globally.
Research and monitor proposed changes to data privacy laws globally (including U.S. state laws applicable to data brokers, targeted advertising, and health data) with keen sensitivity to each jurisdiction's nuances and differences in terminology, interpretation, and enforcement.
Distill complicated legal and business requirements globally, and identify and implement practical solutions within challenging parameters, such as short timeframes, difficult vendors, and many internal stakeholders.
