What will you be doing? Our Convenience and Wholesale division is an integral part of the UK Retail team at Circana and our objective to remain the first point of call for our wholesale partners and wider industry bodies.
In the role of Insight Manager (IM), your responsibility will be to manage the Wholesale team insight function, creating presentations for industry events, working with wholesalers to create tangible insight outputs and working with the Wholesale Director to support FWD relationship. Alongside this, you support with the management of the relationship of our wholesale partners. Supporting the Wholesale Director with industry wide opportunities with bodies such as the FWD. Helping them drive wider market awareness and identify areas of growth for their business.
For this role, we are seeking a commercially minded individual with a Retail, Wholesale, Foodservice or an FMCG background to help the Convenience & Wholesale division continue to accelerate long term growth plans and strengthen our Wholesaler partnerships. The ideal candidate will operate at a high level of intellectual curiosity, exhibit analytical skills, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and bring a proven ability to work with and lead teams. This candidate must have a passion for understanding, and delivering growth for Circana’s business and the wholesalers we collaborate with.
Job Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Director of Wholesale, the IM will be responsible for supporting our wholesaler partners and associated revenue targets.
- The IM will be able to form and dictate their time accordingly when it comes to managing their workload.
- Regular check ins with wholesalers – whether they be in-person or virtually – would be essential as well as the regular internal reporting on client health status and potential areas for growth / risk.
- Ability to collaborate with the RMC counterparts who are responsible for the gateway sales for our wholesale partners.
- Working in partnership with them to unlock the potential of the wholesaler.
- Relationship building with the wider UK Retail Team and other verticals elsewhere in the Circana business to ensure client satisfaction remains high as well as pursuing opportunities to present a ‘One Circana’ united front to your clients.
- Participation in industry events and exhibitions.
- The Retail Development, Convenience and Wholesale division of Circana continues to grow which provides an opportunity for our IM to help shape our plans and strategies around our Product, Insight, Service and Analytical offerings – all with the client at the centre of decision making.
Requirements
- Experience in account management and relationship building where commercial excellence was a key component of your job.
- Proven experience working in the Retail, Wholesale or Foodservice industry. We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have experience in the FMCG industry.
- At ease with data and how to interpret it to help make commercial minded decisions that drive tangible growth.
- Team player – not just an off the cuff reference; our growing team needs an individual who is happy to share ideas, get stuck into critical thinking and support others as and when appropriate.
