The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.
We are looking for Swim Teachers at Thornbury Active Lifestyle Centre! Your role will include:
- Teaching swimming to the required program set out
- Keeping records of the learners' achievements
- Ensuring that lessons are set up and cleared away to the procedures
- Maintaining a safe environment at all times following health and safety guidance
- Supporting environmental systems and promoting healthy lifestyles
Working Hours:
- Monday - 4:00 - 6:30pm
- Tuesday - 4:00 - 5:30pm
- Thursday - 4:00 - 5:30pm
- Friday - 4:00 - 6:00pm
- Saturday - 8:00 - 10:00am
Qualifications & Expectations:
- Be highly motivated & passionate teachers who want to make a difference
- Friendly, dynamic staff with strong communication skills, and be aware of current health and safety legislation
- Team players who want to motivate, inspire & deliver an effective swimming programme
- Take pride in your work, are always on time, organised and totally reliable
- Hold at least STA Level 2 Award in Swim Teaching qualification (Note: we no longer accept Swim England Level 1 qualifications. If you hold this qualification, you may be considered, but you will need to attend an STA Level 2 Award course prior to starting. The course may be taken independently or arranged by us. If offered a contracted role, we will fund 100% of the course; if offered a casual role, we will fund 50%, subject to a signed training agreement.)
- STA Qualified Candidates: The STA offers two qualifications – the Level 2 Award and the Level 2 Certificate. Teachers who are Award qualified are paid at Level 1 rate; those with Certificate qualified are paid at Level 2 rate.
