Swim England Level 1 Qualified Candidates: Please note that we no longer accept Swim England Level 1 qualifications. If you hold this qualification, we are happy to consider your application, but we will request that you attend an STA Level 2 Award course prior to starting your role with us. We will also ask you to attend a poolside assessment as part of the interview process. You can either make arrangements to attend a course yourself, or we can arrange for you to attend one of our in-house courses. If you are offered a contracted role and choose to qualify with us, we will fund 100% of the STA Level 2 Award course subject to you signing a training agreement. If you are offered a casual role and choose to qualify with us, we will fund 50% of the course subject to you signing a training agreement.
STA Qualified Candidates: Please note that the STA have two qualifications – the Level 2 Award and the Level 2 Certificate. Although the STA refer to them both as Level 2, the Certificate is a higher qualification. In order to differentiate the two qualifications, we refer to teachers who are Award qualified as Level 1 and will be paid at Level 1 rate, and teachers that are Certificate qualified as Level 2 and will be paid at Level 2 rate.
