Reporting into the ANZ GM, this role is integral to the short, mid & long-term acceleration of the Baby Accessories category & Tommee Tippee in key channels within ANZ. You will be responsible for generating high impact insights & analysis to create best in class category growth strategies across the Grocery channel. You will be the go‑to person in the category dynamics, working with commercial & brand teams to enable the best GTM plan for the brand and partners.
What you will be doing:
- Develop & execute external retailer category growth strategies for the baby accessories category enabling TT to over-index in short to long term sustainable growth.
- Analyse market trends, customer behaviour & competitor activity, advising the GM, Commercial & Brand teams on portfolio, pricing, promotional decisions.
- Develop 3 year category strategies within the business to achieve its goals, selling this into senior retailer contacts.
- Deliver the range review process from retailer category strategy, space management implementing best in class shopper led POG's (including adds/deletes) supported by commercial team.
- Enable channel strategy to come to life via ranging & planogram executions with the retailers.
- Proactively advise the commercial team on the best TT category growth driving plans for that retailer supporting JBP sign offs.
- Provide internal intelligence on category, what is working, what is not, calling out risks & opportunities to drive the future plan of the business.
- Consult on internal category, channel, pricing & promotional strategies (supported by GM).
- Own internal reporting (local & global) on category dynamics & rationale, suggesting action plan for future opportunities.
- Assist in NPD opportunity assessments.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working within the consumer products/FMCG sector in category roles.
- Experience partnering with external Grocery retailers would be beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to analyse large datasets, interpret market trends, and extract actionable insights.
- Capability to develop and implement comprehensive category strategies aligned with business objectives, data driven decision-maker.
- Strong communicator with experience working across multiple functions / diverse set of stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Problem solver and quick thinker who is self-motivated taking pride in getting the job done.
- Highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills, with a strong track record of partnering effectively with senior leaders.
