In this role, you'll take ownership of procurement activity across the business, supporting manufacturing, project, and operational needs. You'll be responsible for sourcing goods and services cost-effectively, strengthening supplier relationships, and ensuring the right materials and services are available when needed. This is a key role in helping JLE maximise buying power, protect project margins, and keep operations running efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and that comply with company policies and regulations.
  • Forecasting purchasing needs in line with project and operational demands.
  • Sourcing, evaluating, and onboarding suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms.
  • Managing end-to-end procurement processes, including RFQs, tenders, and purchase orders.
  • Monitoring and reporting on contract performance, variations, and procurement spend.
  • Supporting budgeting and financial planning.
  • Working closely with project, finance, manufacturing, and operations teams.
  • Helping build strong supplier and manufacturer partnerships across JLE and the broader group.

Qualifications

  • Experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Background in electrical manufacturing, construction, electrical, or infrastructure.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Financial accountability and attention to detail.
  • Experience using procurement systems and reporting tools, including Excel.

Desirable Skills

  • Management, planning, and evaluation experience.
  • Understanding of relevant standards and codes of practice.
  • Contract training such as GC21 or AS/4000 Standard Minor works.
  • OH&S training.
  • 7-12 years' experience in the trade or industry.
