Lead and strengthen global IT security and infrastructure at scale.

About us

The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) is the world's leading professional body for procurement and supply, with over 70,000 members worldwide. With a Royal Charter, we are driven by a clear purpose: to raise standards, build capability, and support ethical, high‑performing supply chain professionals globally.

What you’ll be doing

You will play a pivotal role in leading secure, stable, and scalable IT services across the organisation, combining strategic leadership with hands‑on operational oversight. Acting as a trusted technology leader, you will strengthen cybersecurity controls, improve infrastructure resilience, and ensure robust governance across cloud, network, and core systems. You will take ownership of cybersecurity operations, including risk management, threat monitoring, incident response, and compliance activities such as Cyber Essentials and GDPR across international regions. Alongside this, you will oversee IT infrastructure and cloud environments, ensuring services remain secure, resilient, and aligned to business needs across multiple locations. Working closely with internal technology teams and third‑party partners, you will establish operational standards, improve service delivery, and drive efficiencies across infrastructure and cloud platforms. You will also lead vendor relationships, ensuring performance against SLAs and driving continuous improvement initiatives. As a senior leader, you will manage and develop a small IT team, act as the escalation point for critical issues, and provide insight and reporting to senior stakeholders to support decision‑making and strategic planning.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven leadership experience in IT infrastructure, operations, and cybersecurity within complex environments
  • Strong expertise in cybersecurity operations, risk management, and security governance
  • Experience managing cloud platforms (SaaS/PaaS) and enterprise infrastructure with a focus on resilience and scalability
  • Demonstrated ability to manage third‑party vendors and drive performance against SLAs
  • Confident stakeholder manager with the ability to influence, challenge and collaborate at senior levels

Benefits

  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Private medical insurance (BUPA)
  • Pension scheme
  • Life assurance (four times salary)
  • Bonus scheme (non‑contractual)
  • On‑site restaurant and other great facilities including a gym

Why join CIPS

At CIPS, you will be part of a globally connected organisation where you can take ownership of meaningful, complex technology challenges and make a real impact on our security and operational maturity.
