Responsibilities include managing the procurement process, ensuring the best value for money through purchases, managing supplier relationships, and tracking inventory to maintain appropriate stock levels.

Key Priorities:

  • Order Management: Placing purchase orders for products, tracking orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Supplier Engagement: Liaising with suppliers for value for money, negotiating prices, and evaluating supplier performance.
  • Stock Control: Maintaining accurate records of materials purchased, preventing stock shortages by reviewing stock levels frequently.
  • Coordination: Working closely with the Raw Materials Manager for effective stock management.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a Procurement/Purchasing role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in an SME.

Qualifications:

  • CIPS membership level 5 minimum or equivalent.
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.

Communication Skills:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate up to Director level.
  • Clarity in information presented and ability to question information received.

Systems & Data:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
  • Experience using ERP systems - NetSuite (Desired).
  • Experience implementing processes and enhancing ways of working.
  • Previous experience using NetSuite.
