With an excellent understanding of social media campaign management planning, delivery and execution, the role is part of CIPS’ Marketing team. The role reports to the Head of Marketing and is focused on the delivery and ongoing development of the organisation’s global social media strategy, supporting our regional teams with their social media channels, creating, managing and scheduling campaigns for all our social media pages to boost our engagement and reach across social media platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Responsible for developing and implementing a global CIPS social media strategy to drive brand awareness and engagement.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of CIPS’ social media platforms, including creating and scheduling content, liaising with regional teams globally and managing our social media management platform, Sprout Social.
- Ensure we are fully utilising the functionality available on our social media management platform and provide/lead internal training sessions where needed internally.
- Establish social listening activities as required.
- Responsible for all our main CIPS social channels and the growth of global social followers and engagement, as well as evaluating whether we should have a presence on other channels.
- Engage in proactive conversations with our audiences across the relevant social media channels, monitoring, responding, and liking relevant comments.
- Use calendars and timelines to schedule content as well as analysing, managing, and altering schedules where necessary to optimise engagement and reach.
- Work closely with our Marketing Managers and our Comms team to deliver organic social elements of our wider marketing campaigns ensuring they achieve campaign objectives.
- Work with external agencies to provide paid social project support where required such as liaising with Marketing Managers, creating briefs for paid social agency, monitoring and reporting.
- Provide monthly social media reports covering metrics and analysis of all our social channels, making recommendations for improvements as required.
- Development and management of appropriate social media groups including identifying new opportunities where appropriate, including the CIPS Connect member community platform.
- Manage content and day-to-day activities, including drafting copy and creating artwork for social media posts to support ‘always on’ or campaign assets and ensuring copywriting is in line with the brand tone of voice and messaging is consistent.
- Where required, liaise with internal and external designers to produce creative campaign assets that are on brand and can be applied globally.
- Stay up to date with latest trends in social media and share with marketing colleagues globally.
