Pastry Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen brigade. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods that delight our guests and elevate their dining experience. You will work closely with the Head Pastry Chef and other team members to execute the pastry menu to perfection, maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness, and ensure consistency in taste and presentation. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and produce a wide variety of baked goods, pastries, desserts, and confections according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all pastry items are made on time and to the highest quality, in line with service demands.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the pastry section, including equipment and storage areas.
  • Uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations.
  • Monitor ingredient inventory for the pastry section and communicate needs for ordering or restocking.
  • Assist in the development of new dessert and pastry items in collaboration with the Head Pastry Chef.
  • Train and mentor junior pastry staff and apprentices as needed.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth service and a cohesive menu offering.

Skills

  • Strong proficiency in pastry techniques, including baking, chocolate work, sugar art, and plated desserts.
  • Solid knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
  • Experience working in a high-end or high-volume pastry kitchen is highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and artistic presentation skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Organised, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards.
