Ciphr has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join the team as we grow and develop

In your role as You’ll work alongside an Engineering Team Lead to ensure the team is delivering well‑documented, high‑quality software applications, provide technical direction for the engineers, and engage in mentoring activities.

You may also deputise in a technical remit for the Head of Engineering in situations where they are not available. You should understand all aspects of and contribute to the delivery of high‑quality applications.

Your role will be a hands‑on development position, and you will work across the entire tech stack with a bias towards the front end, designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications. This includes refining user requirements and acceptance criteria into concise technical documentation.

Remote, occasional travel to our Reading office.

What you’ll be doing as our Senior Full Stack Engineer:

  • Provide technical direction and leadership.
  • Design and develop complex applications.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Maintain a high coverage of automated and manual tests.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation.
  • Perform code reviews and provide feedback for the entire development process.
  • Interact with customers where appropriate.
  • Work on both new developments and product maintenance.

If you have the following skills, you will be the perfect fit:

  • Extensive experience developing applications as a full stack engineer.
  • Experience with backend development in .NET (Framework and .NET 8), Entity Framework, and MS SQL.
  • Extensive understanding of software design patterns and principles.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership.
