Ciphr has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cloud Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join the team as we grow and develop. You’ll be responsible for leading testing of the software suite. The objective is to gain a deep understanding of software under test, analysis of repetitive tasks and automating them where appropriate to improve the efficiency of the team and the quality of the products. This role works closely with the engineering team, the customer care team and the product management team to provide robust and intuitive software, delivering the best user experience for our clients.

- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive test strategies and plans.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.
- Triage issues raised from other teams within the business to understand priorities and ensure all necessary information is present for work to be completed.
- Mentor and guide junior SDETs and QA engineers.
- Analysis of repetitive tests and delivery of high-quality, non-brittle, automated solutions.
- Management, design, implementation and maintenance of integrated and E2E system tests.
- Perform both manual as well as automated testing.
- Supporting the development team in designing high value unit tests.
- Working closely with developers within an Agile sprint team to refine & estimate items of work and other Agile ceremonies.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership / mentoring abilities.
- Strong proficiency with programming languages including Typescript and C#.
- Strong experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Strong ability to multi-task across different products, languages and tools.
- Experience with Playwright and Selenium.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Basic understanding of software development principles and practices.
- Exhibit a strong competence in organisation and prioritisation of workload.
- Proven ability to take a real world problem and translate it into a set of tests which can be performed to check any solution meets all the required criteria at the point of delivery.
- Good background in Agile methodologies, coding languages.
- High standard of written English.
Desirable:
- Strong knowledge of working within Azure.
- Experience with load testing using Gatling.
