About the Role: We are looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to join our growing team in the UK as General Manager / Country Manager. This role is critical to driving market development, revenue generation, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement within the UK market. If you are passionate about the travel and aviation industry, possess strong commercial acumen, and enjoy leading from the front—this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth and increase market share across B2B, B2C, and B2E channels.
- Collaborate closely with airline leadership on commercial strategy, route development, and compliance.
- Lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional teams to deliver on KPIs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with travel agents, OTAs, tour operators, corporate clients, and other distribution partners.
- Implement marketing initiatives like roadshows, presentations, and familiarization trips to boost visibility and business development.
- Maintain regular engagement with government, embassy, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor agent credit and ensure timely collections per SLAs.
- Deliver monthly performance reports and maintain strong market intelligence.
- Ensure top-notch customer service to meet diverse client needs.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 12 years of experience in the UK travel/airline industry, including 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, leadership, and collaborative mindset.
- Strong customer orientation, excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
- Must be a team player, driven to motivate others and achieve tangible results.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and experienced with travel distribution technologies such as GDS, API, and NDC.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- UK Driving License required.
Qualification: A graduate, preferably with a specialization or MBA in Travel/Tourism / OR Equally relevant commercial experience.
