We’re recruiting for an experienced Section Engineer to join a major civil engineering project in the renewable energy sector based in Suffolk. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver works in line with project programmes and short-term schedules
  • Supervise site engineering teams and subcontractors across daily operations
  • Review technical information, manage engineering queries, and support construction planning
  • Implement and monitor Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and quality assurance processes
  • Promote strong health, safety, and environmental standards on site
  • Maintain accurate site records, progress reporting, and documentation
  • Support digital construction initiatives, including BIM and associated technologies

Requirements

  • HNC/HND or degree qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Strong site engineering experience within infrastructure or complex civil engineering projects
  • Good understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies, and temporary works
  • Experience with quality assurance and inspection procedures
  • Familiarity with BIM and digital engineering tools
  • Valid CSCS certification
  • Proactive and collaborative approach with strong problem-solving skills
