About the Role
The Governance & Business Support Executive provides high-level executive and governance support to the CEO, CIPFA Leadership Team (CLT), and the wider organisation. This role combines executive assistance to senior leadership with support for governance meetings and administrative coordination across key internal and external stakeholders.
About You
We are recruiting a proactive and reliable Governance & Business Support Executive to join CIPFA's central team. These roles are key to the smooth running of the Institute – ensuring our governance processes are effective, compliant, and well-organised, while providing high-quality support to senior leadership. As a Governance & Business Support Executive, you will play a vital part in coordinating the work of CIPFA's Board and Committees, preparing agendas and minutes, maintaining governance records, and ensuring that our decision-making processes run efficiently and transparently. In addition to governance responsibilities, you will provide professional and responsive administrative support to the Chief Executive and Leadership Team, helping to manage priorities and keep organisational operations running seamlessly.
What you will bring
- Experience supporting Boards, Committees, or senior executives in a governance or corporate support role;
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a keen eye for accuracy and detail;
- Strong writing and minute-taking skills, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion;
- Confidence managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
