About the Role
You will play a pivotal role in supporting managers and senior leaders across CIPFA by embedding people policies, promoting best practices, and aligning HR initiatives with business goals. Specifically:
- Building strong, credible working relationships with managers across CIPFA to embed people policies and procedures as well as CIPFA values and behaviours.
- Utilising policy, procedures, best practice and data to develop and innovate our ways of working.
- Ensuring an excellent and engaging employee experience by overseeing the smooth administration of all stages of the employee lifecycle accurately and timely.
- Work alongside People and Culture colleagues to ensure our people policies are fit for purpose and support our long term people ambitions.
- Working closely with People and Culture colleagues, develop modern people management practices through coaching, mentoring, systems, data and training.
About You
You will be an experienced, generalist HR professional with:
- CIPD qualified or working towards Level 7 (or equivalent).
- Strong background in advising on HR policy and best practice.
- Proven experience in job design, recruitment, employee relations, and organisational change.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using HR information systems and recruitment databases to extract and analyse data.
- Track record of delivering projects and priorities within deadlines.
- Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
This is a true generalist role which would suit an individual with a background in SMEs or membership organisations. This role can be based in either our Chester or London office. Please indicate your preferred location when applying.
