The Role
As a Content Editor, you will develop and maintain content thatsupportspeopleprofessionalsin their roles and helps them stay on top of critical issues.This contentis published in a range of formats (including factsheets, guides, employment law, infographics, videos and practical tools) and covers topics such asproductivity, performance management,employment law, and AI.
You will join the content team, collaborating with subject matter experts to deliver engaging, relevant and up to date resources for CIPD’s global network of over 160,000 members and customers.
What You'll Be Doing
- Owning and managing the development, delivery and maintenance of assigned content.
- Maintaining and updating assigned content, linked with other CIPD outputs where appropriate, to ensure relevance and timeliness.
- Developing content ideas that align with customer needs and business goals.
- Commissioning authors and/or experts to produce content to a specified brief, managing that process and editing it in line with the CIPD values and tone of voice guidelines.
- Creating content (with input from colleagues and expert contributors) as assigned to meet customer needs and business goals.
- Accurately publishing and updating content.
- Working with other editors to ensure content maximises audience impact and reach and is published in a timely way.
- Gathering, monitoring and using customer feedback, audience insight and analytics, to adapt existing and develop new content.
- Maintaining current awareness of topical developments and customer insight, sharing and integrating this knowledge in updating content as required.
What you’ll need to be successful
- Strong editorial experience (B2B, legal or professional-body content)
- Highly-organised, able to multi-task and plan work and content management in an agile and resilient way across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent writing, editing and project management skills
- Experience across a range of content formats such as video, infographics, tools, webinars and podcasts
- Ability to assimilate a broad base of knowledge and create clear, accurate content
- A good understanding of the online content environment, content management systems and digital technologies, including the use of AI in content ideation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of an agile team and to tight deadlines
