The foreman provides site leadership and manages the day-to-day operations on utility scale solar projects up to 20MW DC in system size. This includes efficiently managing the production of both company and subcontract crews working onsite. The employee facilitates project planning and is responsible for ensuring that a safe, quality, and timely product is delivered. The foreman will also be accountable for maintaining the project schedule and contractual obligations. This position requires frequent customer engagement, construction document analysis, trade coordination, and meeting attendance. Great communication skills, analytical thinking, problem solving abilities, strong computer skills, and excellent knowledge of both AC and DC electrical work are vital for this role.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Cultivate safety as a core value throughout the company, supporting the corporate safety program and personnel.
- Assist project team with developing project budget and estimating production rates.
- Assist project team with developing accurate take-offs and assist PM to achieve customer approval of required documents.
- Receive, store, and protect project material and equipment, including owner furnished items; documenting and reporting any shortages and damage immediately.
- Oversee utilization/maintenance of equipment assigned to project facility.
- Manage the successful completion of all installations from start to finish.
- Direct and manage electrical crew activities to include timecard submission and accurate cost coding.
- Coordinate with MVUG general foreman on underground and medium voltage activities to include timecard submission and accurate cost coding.
- Assist project manager in coordinating subcontractor activities.
- Track and report daily progress, notable events, and upcoming events.
- Assist project manager with weekly forecasting and/or look-ahead.
- Attend customer required meetings, communicating unresolved questions to project manager for resolution.
- Responsible for maintaining overall customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for coordinating and ensuring that all AHJ and Quality Assurance inspections successfully pass and are properly documented.
- Consult with project manager to resolve problems that arise due to inclement weather, emergencies, or other issues that may cause delays.
- Ensure that all project records are accurate and adequately maintained.
- Provide support and assistance to other Cinterra divisions as needed.
- Support and encourage safety as a core value throughout the duration of the project.
- Demonstrate a professional demeanor and ensure all project personnel act professional.
- Handle special assignments and other duties as requested by leadership.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required; advanced education (preferred).
- Three or more years of construction management and/or electrical experience (preferred).
- NFPA 70E Certification (preferred).
- Familiar with OSHA regulations (required), OSHA training and certifications (preferred), employer-provided training available.
- Must have valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Must be able to work long and/or extended hours to include weekends, as needed, with ability to travel full time.
- Familiar with local codes, AHJ standards, and NEC code.
- Understands how to read and interpret plans, and specifications.
- Effective time management skills, understands how to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done.

Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, Kneel, Bend, Stoop, Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas, see and hear naturally or with correction.
- Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with requirements of the job duties.
- Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls according to a set procedure.
- Requires repetitive movement.
- Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.
- Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical labor in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.
- Typical construction site environment.
- Requires working in cramped workspaces and getting into awkward positions.
- Requires working in very hot (above 90 F degrees) or very cold (below 32F degrees) temperatures and exposure to inclement weather such as dust, wind, snow, rain, etc.
- Requires working in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions.
- Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
- Work around hazardous equipment.
