Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum (Depending on experience)

Location: Rutland Veterinary Centre, Market Harborough, Leicestershire

Job Type: Permanent. Full-time (open to part-time applications)

Hours: 40 hours over 4 days, there is no on call, however participation in the shared weekend and bank holiday day rota is part of this role.

Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking for an exciting surgical caseload within a supportive and progressive practice? We are seeking a motivated Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in surgery, ideally holding or currently working towards a Surgical Certificate. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, thrive in a collaborative environment, and enjoy working alongside a dedicated and experienced clinical team.

The Team

Rutland Veterinary Centre is a supportive, community-focused first opinion practice based in Uppingham, Leicestershire. We have a diverse and rewarding caseload, and our facilities are fully equipped to support the high standard of care we provide.

What We’re Looking For

  • A team player with a minimum of 4-5 years in a Small Animal Practice and RCVS registered (or eligible to register).
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills, with the ability to make informed decisions across consultations and surgical cases.
  • The ability to confidently deliver high-quality clinical care across consultations, medical workups, and both routine and non-routine surgeries.
  • A collaborative, approachable attitude that contributes to a positive team culture and exceptional client care.
