Hours: 40 hours/week – 4x 10 hour days. 1 in 8 weekends with days off the following week.

Eastcott Referrals are seeking an RVN to join our friendly, close knit and well-established practice in Swindon, Wiltshire.

About the Role

As our busy hospital is expanding, we are looking to hire an enthusiastic and confident Registered Veterinary Nurse to rotate through a range of specialist departments. Disciplines you will work in include medicine, anaesthesia, imaging, dentistry, neurology, ophthalmology, surgery (to include soft tissue and orthopaedics) and wards as well as assisting our emergency critical care department. This position will expose you to a wide range of interesting cases, allowing development and expansion of your nursing skills and knowledge in a variety of areas. As a multidisciplinary referral nurse, you will be working alongside all of our highly knowledgeable teams including specialist clinicians, RVNs, residents and interns. Our expanding referral caseload will guarantee you are able to nurse a variety of patients and interesting cases with support and training provided.

The ideal candidate will have experience in either a hospital or a referral department (although this is not essential) and be at least 1 year qualified.

About You

The multidisciplinary nursing team are offering an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate veterinary nurse to join our dynamic and supportive team. Our rota rolls throughout the hospital and we spend two weeks in each department. This allows us to be very involved in the department’s clinical and challenging cases and be a part of the department’s team. The role is ideal for a motivational individual eager to deliver exceptional patient care and explore the diverse world of referral nursing. While previous experience is desirable, it is not essential. We will provide a comprehensive training plan and mentorship to help you thrive in the multidisciplinary position.

Eastcott Veterinary Hospital is an RCVS Accredited Multidisciplinary Referral Practice based in Swindon, Wiltshire, just off the M4. Our referral hospital is led by a team of Veterinary Specialists who provide an exceptionally high level of clinical and surgical veterinary care. The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities in all disciplines, and our team offers a warm welcome to referring vets, clients, and patients.
