An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Out of Hours Veterinary Surgeon to join our progressive and collaborative team. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled veterinarian to join our rota on a 1-week-in-3 basis. You will work alongside a dedicated veterinary nurse throughout your shift, delivering high-quality emergency and urgent care to our patients during evenings and overnight hours.

The Team
The 608 Vets team is well established with a strong reputation for compassionate care and excellent client service. Our large and supportive team includes 16 vets, 30 nursing associates, and 10 administrative colleagues, supported by our Clinical Director, two Head Vets, Clinical Nursing Manager, and Practice Manager. We are passionate about professional development and actively support further study – with six of our vets currently working towards certificates, including surgery, internal medicine, and exotics.
Reporting to the Head Vet, you will work from our main 24-hour hospital, providing high standards of clinical care for 608 Vets clients through thorough examination, medical treatment, and surgical intervention where required. For overnight comfort, dedicated bedrooms are available for each overnight team member, allowing rest during quieter periods of the shift.

- Strong communication skills, ensuring clinical protocols are followed and maintained.
- The ability to work independently and make confident clinical decisions during overnight shifts.
