Village Vet Highgate is a busy, well-established first opinion practice seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team on a fixed-term maternity cover basis. Overview
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional clinical care and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. Working alongside our veterinary surgeons, nursing team, and support staff, you will help ensure excellent patient outcomes and outstanding client service. This is a predominantly clinical role offering exposure to a varied caseload, including medical, surgical, and inpatient nursing.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Support vets with a wide range of procedures and cases
- Provide inpatient care and monitoring
- Deliver high-quality nursing care across a varied caseload
- Assist with surgical procedures, dentals, and diagnostic workups
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Maintain accurate and thorough clinical records
- Ensure high standards of patient welfare and infection control
Practice Support
- Work collaboratively with RVNs, PCAs, vets, and reception teams
- Support the smooth running of daily clinical operations
- Assist with stock management and equipment maintenance
- Contribute to maintaining high clinical and operational standards
Client Care
- Deliver excellent client service and communication
- Support the client journey from admission through to discharge
- Provide clear updates, advice and guidance to clients
- Promote preventative healthcare and patient wellbeing
Team Structure
3 Vets, 2 RVNs, 1 PCA, 2 Receptionists, 1 Hydrotherapy Nurse. The team is highly collaborative, with a strong culture of mutual support across all departments.
