Function: Commercial & Marketing Technology
Level: Senior Manager
We have partnered with a Global FMCG and are searching for a strategic, commercially minded Senior IT Manager to partner with our global Commercial and Marketing functions and lead the full end-to-end technology agenda — from strategic roadmap, to delivery, to operational excellence. This is not a delivery-only role. You will act as a true business partner, shaping a technology vision that accelerates revenue growth, strengthens pipeline velocity, enhances customer experience, and unlocks measurable commercial value.
What you will lead
- Own the technology strategy and roadmap for Commercial & Marketing — including Salesforce (Sales, Marketing, Revenue Cloud) and Martech platforms
- Translate commercial goals into prioritised technology investments that deliver business outcomes
- Shape digital experience and capability evolution, not just project delivery
- Influence senior leadership and guide value-led decision-making
- Lead internal teams and partner ecosystems to deliver a best-in-class commercial tech landscape
- Oversee lifecycle management, enhancements, and continuous improvement
- Ensure operational excellence, stability, security, and compliance
Where previous candidates have fallen short
Success requires more than programme management. To be the right fit, you must demonstrate:
- Commercial mindset – linking technology decisions to revenue, margin, CLV, differentiation
- Strategic partnering – shaping, challenging, and prioritising with business leaders
- Influence – operating confidently with senior leadership
- Horizon scanning – future-proofing and planning beyond delivery
If your strengths are purely execution-level, this role will not be suitable.
What you'll bring
- 10+ years in IT leadership with strong experience in Commercial, Sales or Marketing technology
- Advanced Salesforce knowledge (Sales/Marketing/Revenue Cloud)
- Global organisation and matrix stakeholder experience
- Strong business partnering and senior stakeholder influence
- Data-driven, analytical mindset and curiosity for innovation
- Ability to lead internal teams and third-party partners
Why this role matters
This is a highly visible role shaping the digital future of Commercial & Marketing. You will define where we invest, how we grow, and how technology becomes a competitive advantage.
