Overview: We’re partnering with an international brand strategy, marketing and integrated design agency who are looking for a hands‑on Assistant Management Accountant to join them. You’ll take ownership of end‑to‑end AP and AR, support the preparation of management accounts, and work closely with the Group Finance Manager on budgeting and forecasting. The role also involves partnering with Client Services and acting as a go‑to point for finance queries across the business. You’ll be confident communicating with senior stakeholders, detail‑driven, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, project‑led agency setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with monthly management accounts (P&L, Gross Profit, Balance Sheet)
- Work with budget holders and Client Services to provide context to financial performance
- Provide insightful variance analysis and commentary
- End‑to‑end processing of sales and purchase invoices
- Weekly timesheet analysis
- Daily cash and banking duties
- Credit control and debtor management
- Processing staff expenses
- Supporting annual audit activity
- Resolving client, supplier and internal finance queries
- Supporting ad‑hoc projects and wider finance team initiatives
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role
- Studying towards a professional accounting qualification
- Agency or professional services experience (desirable)
- Strong Excel skills and experience using Xero
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Highly organised with the ability to multitask
- Enthusiastic, reliable and a strong team player
- With offices in UK and the UAE - Arabic language skills and cross‑border experience is beneficial but not essential
