The Warehouse Assistant supports the Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Manager in the efficient day-to-day running of warehouse operations.
The primary focus of the role is warehouse operations, stock control, asset management and logistics coordination.
The role requires a motivated and proactive individual who can manage their workload effectively. There will be occasions where the role involves working independently and sometimes alone, so the successful candidate must be comfortable prioritising tasks, using initiative and maintaining standards without direct supervision.
Flexibility with working hours is required to support holiday cover and peak operational periods where business demands require additional support.
The role may occasionally require travel to the other warehouse to provide operational support.
Required Skills
- Previous warehouse experience (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities
- Receive, check and store incoming goods accurately
- Accurately pick, label and prepare products and materials for engineer collection, ensuring stock movements and asset records are updated within company systems.
- Maintain accurate stock locations and support stock allocation
- Assist with regular stock checks and maintain inventory accuracy
- Ensure high standards of housekeeping at all times
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free warehouse environment
- Support routine facilities and safety checks as directed
- Ensure correct disposal of waste and WEEE in line with company policy
- Strong attention to detail is essential to ensure stock accuracy and operational safety.
- Maintain accurate records of company plant and equipment
- Keep customer asset registers up to date
- Track and maintain customer-owned assets stored onsite
- Update internal systems to reflect asset movement and location
- Assist in ensuring equipment is stored, handled and returned correctly
- Accuracy in record-keeping is essential.
- Arrange collections and deliveries with couriers
- Coordinate domestic and international deliveries
- Prepare and check shipping documentation, including export paperwork where required
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams regarding shipment timelines
- Contact suppliers via phone and email to confirm dispatch dates and delivery details
- May be required to deliver or collect goods from customer sites or suppliers
- Ensure shipments comply with company procedures and relevant regulations
