A fantastic job opportunity has become available at our Hillside Farm Sanctuary in Lifton, Devon!
We are looking for a caring, animal lover to join our team at Hillside Farm Sanctuary.
The sanctuary offers a home-from-home environment for all our residents. You will be required to provide and maintain a high standard of care and quality of life for all sanctuary residents. To offer love, comfort, stimulation, compassion, stability and security to all residents as well as looking out for the local wildlife, ensuring the environment is the perfect sanctuary for all.
The Senior Animal Welfare & Sanctuary Lead will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare across The Trust’s Hillside Sanctuary operations. Combining veterinary nursing knowledge with practical animal care leadership, the post holder will provide clinical guidance, welfare oversight, staff training and operational support to ensure every animal in our care receives exceptional standards of care throughout their lives.
There are many physical elements including cleaning, grooming, lifting residents, bending and working outdoors, so the capability to carry out all such tasks is essential. This role would suit an enthusiastic, compassionate and proactive Registered Veterinary Nurse or experienced animal welfare professional with strong leadership, communication and training skills. A keen interest in nutrition, behaviour and complementary therapies would be advantageous.
