£12.77 per hour plus Company Benefits. Bank Contract. The Gables in Hagley, near Stourbridge is a luxury 61 bedded residential and dementia care home. We have an opportunity for a Wellbeing & Lifestyle Assistant to join our team on an ‘as and when’ basis to cover annual leave and adhoc sickness. Rotas are worked out in advance so you will be given notice of days/weeks to be covered.
Working very closely with our Wellbeing & Lifestyle Lead, the Wellbeing & Lifestyle Assistant role is a hands-on working role with responsibility for coordinating a successful activities and volunteer programme within the Cinnamon home. This includes internal and external communication about activities-focused programmes for our residents. To introduce appropriate activities for older people which support independence and to identify activities in the surrounding areas that will assist residents to integrate into the local community. We also provide a comprehensive induction, support and training and encourage career development.

Main Responsibilities
- Organise and conduct activities that encourage both social, mental and, if appropriate, physical stimulation for the residents within the home
- Help organise fund-raising events
- Help organise special events (e.g., Christmas entertainment, Ascot, royal occasion, etc.)
- Help produce a monthly programme of events to be discussed with the General Manager of the home
- Encourage residents and team members to participate in the home’s activities programme
- Maintenance of posters and notice boards within the home
