What does the team do?
Welding rails together to make 90m strings for TfL.
The successful candidate should have:
- Completed an engineering apprenticeship, NVQ level 3 or equivalent
- Experience in welding
- Experience in using mechanical equipment
- Mechanical and electrical experience
- Any crane experience is beneficial but training will be provided.
Team information:
A small team of five staff, working under a Team Leader and Chargehand.
Option after training to move to a four-day week.
Although welding experience is needed, the welding is done by an enclosed machine so other skills using machinery and tools are also required (similar to an electro-mechanical fitter role).
Interview process: Face to Face.
Working area is in a workshop and at times outdoors in an external environment.
