Maintenance Manager role at Cinnamon Care Collection, a leading care home group in the UK. This is a full‑time, contract position reporting to the General Manager, focused on maintaining a high standard of care for dementia residents.
The location: Leah Lodge in Blackheath – a 48‑bedded, beautiful and luxurious home specialising in dementia care.
Pay Range
£40,000 Per Annum Plus Company Benefits
Responsibilities
- Ensure high standards of maintenance throughout the home and grounds.
- Organise and undertake general maintenance work, including minor electrical, plumbing, joinery, tiling, painting, decorating, groundwork and general building work.
- Replace light bulbs, clean gutters, and perform routine upkeep tasks.
- Carry out PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) of all electrical items in accordance with legislative guidelines.
- Test and record water temperatures and temperature control systems on showers and similar items.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and other relevant safety practices.
- Implement fire prevention checks and conduct regular plant inspections, documenting all checks.
- Report any accidents immediately to the Manager on duty and complete appropriate documentation.
- Provide out‑of‑hours cover, advising via phone and attending the home in person as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience carrying out maintenance in a care or similar setting.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
- Full and clean driving licence.
- Problem‑solving ability.
- Understanding of COSHH.
- Experience with PAT testing.
- Reasonable access outside working hours.
Key attributes: strong communicator (written and verbal), basic computer literacy, proactive, and able to respond to emergency and unplanned situations.
