Business Administrator – Ferndown, UK. Full-time role with salary £33,000 per annum plus company benefits.
Heathland House is a stunning 66 bedded luxurious residential and dementia care home situated in Ferndown, Dorset. We are looking to recruit an experienced Business Administrator with competent finance skills to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and accounting/credit control support to the home and manage the Admin Assistants/Receptionists.
- Ensure all client files and accounts are prepared, issued, updated and maintained in line with company policy and regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Promote timely payment of client accounts and follow up on outstanding debt in line with the credit control policy.
- Liaise with the Payroll Department; prepare reports and process staff information, including verification, input and reconciliation of staff hours worked.
- Prepare detailed staffing and payroll reports for the General Manager and Support staff.
- Maintain staff records in the staff hours system, handle recruitment, create new employee files, maintain staff files and record sickness, holidays and leavers.
- Maintain excellent IT skills and knowledge of Excel; be confident using various internal IT systems and processes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong administrative and accounting/credit control capabilities.
- Knowledge of accounts systems; experience with payroll, timesheets and reporting.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel; comfortable with multiple internal IT systems.
- Experience in sales and purchase, petty cash and bank reconciliation preferred.
