Key Responsibilities- Assist the General Manager with all aspects of the day‑to‑day running of the home on a 24‑hour basis.
- Deputise for the General Manager across the whole range of duties in their absence.
- Ensure all aspects of management meet the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission.
- Support and manage teams, ensuring appraisals, training and supervision are up to date.
- Oversee and maintain the care of residents, ensuring each receives care according to their individual needs.
- Previous management/supervisory experience, including NVQ Level 4/5.
- Experience as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) or demonstrated prior care home leadership experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and IT proficiency.
- Evidence of recent clinical practice and medication administration competency.
- Knowledge of the NMC code of Conduct and professional standards.
- Calm, professional manner and ability to work in a challenging environment.
