Our Cinema Managers are at the heart of our cinemas’ day-to-day operation, helping to bring great movie moments to life for every customer, every visit. Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll lead teams on shift, maintain high operational standards and support the smooth running of the cinema throughout the trading day.

Cineworld Witney is a 5-screen cinema with a great local presence in Marriots Walk shopping centre. Many of the team have developed through the business and this role could open up great opportunities for progression. This is a hands-on, people-focused role where your presence on the floor really matters. You’ll guide and motivate your teams, create a positive and inclusive environment, and play a key part in delivering an experience that keeps our customers coming back.

What will you be doing?

  • You will be responsible for ensuring effective running of the cinema by communicating the business KPIs and engaging the teams to deliver against the strategy objectives and ensuring that the customer journey is as exciting and enjoyable as the films we show.
  • You will have a hugely people focused role which will require you to drive the development of existing team members, manage cinema recruitment, induction and training of direct reports.
  • You will keep operational standards high across all areas including film presentation, programming, scheduling, health & safety, cinema cleanliness, up to date onsite licensing and lots more.
  • You will seek ways to continuously improve cinema controllable P&L/petty cash expenditure and payroll cost in line with forecasts, targets and budgets whilst also finding new ways to drive improved revenue across retail & the Unlimited initiative.

About you

  • You need to have demonstrable experience in a management role for an organisation within a customer facing industry such as retail hospitality & entertainment – preferably in a high-volume or large-scale environment.
  • You will need broad availability across 7 days between 9am and midnight.
  • You will need to be comfortable communicating clearly, precisely and efficiently but know how to manage a variety of personalities.
  • You need to be able to manage multiple tasks at the same time and show excellent time management skills.
  • Previous experience with cinema is not essential, but a love for films and being able to spread this passion to customers and teams will go a long way!
