At Picturehouse Central, you'll support our Kitchen Manager in delivering great food across our restaurant, café, bar and events spaces. You'll help lead the kitchen team, maintain high standards and take ownership of the operation when the Kitchen Manager isn't on shift. You'll still enjoy the buzz of hospitality, but without the split shifts, late-night finishes and relentless pace that often come with traditional restaurant kitchens.

What do you get?
- Base salary of £30,000 - £35,000
- Working schedule: 40 hours per week & 2-3 weekends per month
- Shifts: You will never do a split shift! The shifts that you will do are 9am to 5pm or 2pm to 10pm.

What will you be doing?
- You will support the Kitchen Manager with the day-to-day running of the kitchen operation across our restaurant, cafe, bar and event spaces.
- You will lead shifts and take responsibility for the kitchen when the Kitchen Manager isn’t on site, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety and service.
- You will coach and support kitchen team members, helping to maintain a positive and productive working environment.
- You will assist with supplier ordering, stock management, stock takes, rota planning and food safety compliance.
- You will help ensure our customers enjoy consistently high-quality food as part of their Picturehouse experience.
About you
- You’ve previously worked as a Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisor or similar role within a busy kitchen environment.
- You enjoy leading by example and supporting others to deliver consistently high standards.
- You have strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen compliance requirements.
- You’re organised and comfortable supporting the operational side of a kitchen, including ordering, stock control and rota planning.
