The role of the Starbucks Barista is to contribute to Starbucks’ success by providing legendary customer service to all customers. This includes offering prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. The Barista acts in accordance with, and as an ambassador for, Starbucks guiding principles, culture, and values; embracing the coffee culture and keeping it at the heart of everything we do.
Hours of work vary, with shifts starting as early as 8am and finishing as late as 10pm.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Acting in accordance with, and as an ambassador for, Starbucks guiding principles, culture, and values.
- Embracing the coffee culture and keeping it central to all activities.
- Discovering and responding to customers’ needs, providing product sampling and demonstrations to deliver the Starbucks Experience.
- Following Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling, security, and health and safety, to ensure the safety of all.
