What is the job?

Lights, camera, action. It’s time to step into the limelight as the new Picturehouse Host at the Gate Picturehouse, taking our customers on a wondrous journey that immerses them in every aspect that our unique venue has to offer. From serving sweet or salty popcorn to ensuring the screens are comfortable and inviting, you will be involved in ensuring the best possible end-to-end customer experience from the moment they step through the doors.

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for ensuring the best possible customer journey for anyone that steps through our doors. Whether they are in the cinema to dine, drink, attend an event or indulge in a cinematic masterpiece you will help them fully immerse themselves in the experience and forget the outside world. You will contribute towards the running of the cinema, which will see you keep on top of Health & Safety, general cleaning duties, operate the concession stands, prepare & serve café food, ushering responsibilities and lots more. You will always be up to speed on film scheduling at the cinema, being able to relay knowledge of schedules, film synopsis and classification to our customers when needed. You will be aware of all internal sales promotions and work with your colleagues to drive sales to hit targets.

You must be friendly and outgoing with the attitude of always putting the customer first to deliver an unforgettable experience. You will be someone who enjoys a varied work life as no two days will be the same with you being required to work across lots of different areas of the cinema such as Promotion and sale of tickets, retail, alcohol, food and Memberships.
