We are seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support cinema management in maintaining and enhancing the overall presentation of our cinemas. The role involves routine maintenance tasks and liaising with external parties as appropriate.

Location and Working Hours: London-based, 40 hours per week with a flexible approach, covering our Wembley, South Ruislip, Leicester Square, and Watford cinemas.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in revamping areas around the cinema as directed.
  • Liaise with and report jobs to the management team.
  • Perform routine repairs such as stair nosing and Tivoli lighting maintenance.
  • Carry out local making good and redecoration tasks as directed.
  • Conduct graffiti checks within the cinema premises, removing low-level graffiti as needed.
  • Regularly check the condition of fixed seating in auditoria and report or repair as necessary.
  • Report maintenance tasks and emergency situations (e.g., gas leaks, power failures, water leaks) to the management team.
  • Ensure work areas are safe for customers and staff, following Health & Safety policies.
  • Conduct site walk-rounds to identify faults and hazards, reporting findings to management.
  • Maintain the presentation of toilets, including routine plumbing, fixing broken seats, and replacing fixtures as required.
  • Ensure the main refuse area is kept clear.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks recorded in the Maintenance/defect log and Health & Safety registers.
  • Participate in Health & Safety meetings and ensure compliance, documenting all checks.
  • Keep work areas tidy and organized, log tools and resources, and store them securely following Health & Safety policies.
  • Perform ad hoc duties within the scope of maintenance tasks as directed by management.
