Maintenance Person - Aberdeen

Note This role will be mainly based at Cineworld Aberdeen Union Square, with occasional shifts at Cineworld Aberdeen Queen\’s Links. JOB PURPOSE To assist cinema management in maintaining and enhancing the cinema\’s presentation by undertaking routine maintenance tasks and liaising with external parties as appropriate. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Relamp areas around the cinema as directed. Liaise with and report jobs to the management team. Perform routine repairs to stair nosing and Tivoli lighting. Carry out local repairs and redecorations as directed by management. Conduct graffiti checks within the cinema premises, removing low-level graffiti as directed. Regularly check the condition of fixed seating in auditoria and report or repair as necessary. Report maintenance issues and emergencies such as gas leaks, power failures, and water leaks to the management team. Ensure work areas are safe for customers and staff, in line with Health & Safety policies. Conduct site walk-rounds to identify faults and hazards, reporting them to the management team. Maintain the presentation of toilets, including routine plumbing works and fixing broken fixtures. Keep the refuse area clear and carry out routine maintenance tasks recorded in the maintenance/defect log. Attend Health & Safety meetings with management to ensure compliance and proper documentation. Keep work areas tidy, organize tools and resources, and ensure safety protocols are followed. Perform ad hoc duties within the scope of maintenance responsibilities as directed by management. ESSENTIAL / DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES & EXPERIENCE Candidates should have basic experience with hand and power tools. Ideally, they will hold a Level 2 Health and Safety qualification. An understanding of Health & Safety policies, risk management, and working at heights is desirable. Facilities management or trades experience is also advantageous. #J-18808-Ljbffr
