The position of Kitchen Team Member at our City Screen Picturehouse in York will have you supporting the Head Chef and other members of the kitchen team to continue to maintain the highest standards in cleanliness, food hygiene and of course amazing dishes for our customers, whilst building the fundamentals of a career as a chef.

What will you be doing?
You will be working with the rest of the kitchen team, supporting them to consistently deliver high quality dishes that meet company specifications and bring our customer’s joyful culinary experience. You will need to follow all kitchen procedures to the highest standard such as health & safety protocols, food hygiene, stock management, cleaning, wastage documentation, deliveries and more. You will undertake daily cleaning duties which include but are not limited to crockery, pots, pans and removing rubbish when needed. You will help keep on top of kitchen cleanliness and food hygiene standards, ensuring that we are constantly meeting the highest level.
About you
You are an entry level cook/chef that is looking to learn the fundamentals of working in a kitchen to build a career moving forwards therefore, having a willingness to learn and throw yourself into new challenges would be greatly appreciated. You have a basic understanding of kitchen procedures that need to be followed such as health & safety protocols, food hygiene, stock management, cleaning, wastage documentation and more. You are someone who enjoys working in a small team that supports each other, and you have a passion for learning how to deliver high quality food for customers.
