  • Reporting to: Daily – Receptionist Overall – Office Manager or HR Manager
  • Hours of

Work: Normal hours will be on a shift basis from Monday to Friday with one hour for lunch.

The Runner shifts are either; 7.00 am to 4.30 pm, 9.30 am to 7.00 pm, 12:30am to 10.00pm.

The nature of your work may require additional hours to be worked as dictated by the needs of the business and may include some weekend work.

As a Facility Runner, you will provide essential administrative, runner, and maintenance support to ensure the smooth daily operation of our departments and the studio as a whole.

Our runners receive training to help them develop skills in their chosen specialty and build their knowledge of the VFX pipeline.

Many of our previous runners have successfully progressed into various roles across our Production, 2D, and 3D departments.

Main Duties & Key Responsibilities

  • 1. Hospitality & Meeting Support
  • Organize and set up refreshments for internal and external meetings; ensure all meeting rooms are cleared, tidied, and reset promptly after use.
  • Maintain client-facing areas to a pristine standard at all times to reflect the company’s professional image.
  • Assist in the physical setup, and breakdown of company events and internal social functions.
  • 2. Facility Maintenance & Hygiene
  • Maintain the overall upkeep of the studio, proactively identifying and flagging any potential facility issues (e. g., loose chairs or broken fixtures) to the Reception team.
  • Maintain the overall presentation and functionality of the studio, proactively cleaning and tidying creative areas and communal spaces throughout the day.
  • Undertake basic DIY jobs and general maintenance tasks as required to keep the studio in top condition.
  • Perform daily maintenance of kitchen facilities, including dishwasher rotation, appliance cleaning (microwaves, toasters, fridges), and replenishing food/refreshments stocks.
  • Conduct daily cleaning and maintenance of coffee machines and monitor coffee bean/ground stock levels.
  • Execute daily rubbish disposal and manage the regular emptying and sorting of recycling bins.
  • 3. Office Operations & Logistics
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing internal/external post and packaging courier deliveries.
  • Perform regular "runs" between facilities to drop off or collect materials as coordinated by the team.
  • Manage the efficient distribution of meals for staff working late-night shifts.
  • 4. Workplace & IT Support
  • Assist with office relocations, including the safe manual handling of furniture and assisting IT with the relocation of computer hardware.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for maintenance contractors and visitors, accompanying them to their designated work areas within the building.
  • 5. Administration & Resource Management
  • Monitor and replenish stationery supplies across all admin areas and maintain organized storage in the stationery cupboards.
  • Provide general binding and photocopying support as required.
  • Perform daily checks and restocking of paper and toner for all communal printers and photocopiers.
  • Provide professional front-desk coverage as required, handling calls and greeting guests.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Exceptional ability to prioritize a diverse workload and manage time effectively.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Docs.
  • A foundational knowledge or interest in Visual Effects (VFX) or Animation is highly desirable.
  • A strong capacity to learn new systems, software, and operational procedures quickly.

Experience (Preferred but not essential)

  • Previous experience in a hospitality, retail, or client-facing role is considered a significant advantage.
