You’ll also run ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives and show and tells.

As a Senior Consultant, specialising in Delivery, you’ll already be an expert in your field. You’ll also be a leader of people and teams and advocate for user-centred design approaches. Hippo will provide exciting opportunities to share your expertise with, and influence, clients and team members, and to continue to develop as a leader.

Your role in a nutshell:

  • Help to build and maintain the team on-site, making sure that they are motivated, happy, and working well together
  • Identify obstacles and help the team to overcome them
  • Facilitate and track team risks and dependencies
  • Help the team to focus on the priorities to deliver the product or service
  • Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement of the delivery team
  • Coach and mentor team members and others to apply the most appropriate agile and lean tools and techniques
  • Build great relationships with your team and stakeholders
  • Line management of colleagues within your profession

Skills and experience that you need

People are at the centre of everything we do. We’re a diverse and close-knit community united by a love for solving complex problems for our clients and their users. We take a common sense approach to getting things done. We get things wrong, we learn from experience and we adapt. We stay curious and never stop learning.

We don’t need you to have any certificates or qualifications, but we do need to be confident that you can demonstrate experience in:

  • Delivering complex digital projects
  • Agile project management and working practices (SCRUM/Lean/DSDM/APMG)
  • Leading teams of various configurations and sizes, from a fully resourced consultancy team to running hybrid consultancy/client teams
  • Collaboration and project management tools
  • Understanding of user centred design principles and practices

Hippo locations

We are headquartered in Leeds and have offices across the UK in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, London and Bristol. We\’re on the lookout for top talent nationwide but you need to be located within reasonable travelling distance from one of our offices which will be your contracted office location. Given the dynamic nature of a consulting business, you may be required to work on-site at a Hippo office or at an in/out of town client location for a number of days per week (client dependent) and therefore candidates will need to be open/flexible to travel.
