Main Purpose of The Role
We’re looking for a sharp, creative Copywriter to craft exceptional, consistent copy across every customer touchpoint. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who knows how to say more with less. Someone who can turn a brief into bold, effective copy - whether that’s a punchy headline, a pleasing product journey or a compelling ad campaign. You’ll work across a range of projects, collaborating with brand, marketing, product, design and legal teams to deliver work that’s clear, compliant and unmistakably cinch / Marshall.
What you’ll be working on:
- Writing clear, engaging, on-brand copy across multiple channels (web, CRM, paid media, social, app and more)
- Championing simple, customer-friendly language. We're a jargon-free zone!
- Working closely with designers, marketers and stakeholders to bring projects to life
- Managing multiple briefs at once, balancing speed with accuracy
- Taking feedback onboard and refining work quickly and effectively
- Contributing ideas and improving processes, not just executing briefs
Things we’d love to see:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience writing short-form copy in a paid capacity for a recognised brand
- Excellent editorial skills - grammar, spelling, and an exceptional eye for detail
- A compelling writing style with a knack for being succinct, conversational and faff-free
- Strong time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple deadlines and reprioritise when needed
- A structured, organised approach to managing tasks, feedback and progress
- A self-starting mindset - comfortable identifying problems and proposing solutions
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders (including senior leaders)
Nice to haves:
- Experience working with ASA guidelines, the CAP Code and legal stakeholders
- Experience in automotive content or a genuine interest in motoring
- Experience with best-practice content design and UX writing
- Familiarity with AI tools and how they can be used to improve copy and workflows
cinch’s benefits programme sees that our people are supported both in and out of work. That’s what a faff-free life is all about. We offer:
- Competitive salaries and bonuses
- A company pension scheme
- An Employee Assistance Programme
- Access to trained mental health first aiders
- Enhanced maternity, paternity, and adoption leave
- And so much more!
In making the most out of a career at cinch you need to be curious, creative, and collaborative. See, we are putting you in the driver’s seat, in control of your career and ready to drive your own development. There’s no bureaucracy, no hierarchy, just an environment with values that bring us together and a purpose that sets us apart. Join us as we continue to accelerate, defy expectations, and revolutionise an entire industry.
cinch wants to help all kinds of people in the UK find and buy a car. So, it makes good sense to have all kinds of people working with us on the challenge. Conversations and the decisions they lead to are better for featuring different voices. Representation matters. And doing your job while not being your authentic self is not faff-free. Being free to be the best of who you are as you soar to professional greatness is the kind of business we commit to creating, as one.
