In this role, you will:
- Operating machinery efficiently, safely, and competently to ensure maximum output
- Complying with Thiess’ policies and procedures
- Responding to instructions from Mining Supervisor
- Operate, drive and move material as directed to prepare operating areas and roads
- Setting and maintain high housekeeping standards
- Carrying out pre-start checks
About you
- 3 years experience operating a Grader and Excavator (up to 75t) in a production mining operation
- Equivalent or specific experience operating:
- Loader - CAT 980
- Excavator - up to 75t including Rockbreaker attachment
- Grader 16M - desirable
- Possess strong mining operational skills and be able to demonstrate your ability in maintaining windrows, spillage, general road, pit and mining maintenance
- Sound knowledge and understanding of mining operations
- Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times
