In this role, you will:
- Operating machinery efficiently and safely as a highly skilled production operator
- Complying with Thiess’ policies and procedures
- Responding to instructions from Mining Supervisor
- Excavating to design boundaries of ore bodies, berms and pit walls
- Ensuring floor levels are maintained
- Minimising dilution and achieving design parameters within acceptable tolerances
- Setting and maintaining high housekeeping standards
- Carrying out pre-start checks
About you:
- Minimum of 5 years mining experience as mining production excavator operator
- Equivalent to or specific experience operating Hitachi EX3600 is essential
- Experience in loading dump trucks in a mining production environment essential
- Sound knowledge and understanding of ore mark ups and pit configuration
- Skills to mine out benches and cutting batters, leaving minimal amount of material for final trim to design of batter angle
- Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times
