Account Director (Travel and Hospitality sector)
We are looking for an Account Director to join our team in London. Ciklum is a custom product engineering company that supports multinational organizations and scaling startups to solve complex business challenges. With a global team of over 4,000 professionals, we engineer technology that redefines industries and shapes how people live.
About the role:
As an Account Director, you will be accountable for the strategic direction, overall growth, profitability, and client satisfaction across your portfolio. Youll collaborate closely with delivery, commercial, and technical leadership teams to ensure high-value services are delivered on time and within budget. The role focuses on creating trusted partnerships where Ciklum delivers large-scale innovation and digital platforms to support client growth in the Travel & Hospitality space.
Responsibilities:
- Define and own the strategic Account / Portfolio Plan, ensuring long-term growth through deep client and market understanding
- Build and lead strong, sustainable C-level relationships with client stakeholders
- Champion and drive technology and digital transformation initiatives at a strategic level
- Act as a senior leader across internal matrix teams (delivery, commercial, technical, marketing), promoting collaboration to meet client needs
- Ensure the highest standard of account governance and proactively manage risks and escalations
- Drive client satisfaction, commercial growth, and profitability across accounts
- Lead senior-level opportunities through all stages of the sales lifecycle — from identification to deal closure and delivery
- Maintain high-quality pipeline and CRM hygiene in line with Ciklum’s sales process and reporting expectations
- Own and manage the full account-level P&L, contracts, invoicing, and commercial governance
Requirements:
- 10-15 years in senior client-facing roles such as Account Director, Client Partner, or similar, ideally within technology solutions / IT services / digital consultancy
- Strong domain knowledge of the Travel and Hospitality sector in the UK and relevant operational and digital trends
- Proven track record managing C-level relationships and driving large-scale transformation deals
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and executive presentation skills
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills in complex, matrix environments
- Experience managing account-level financials (P&L), contracts, and revenue targets
- Familiarity with onshore, nearshore, and offshore delivery models
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to develop high-value propositions
- A self-starter mindset, with a passion for growth, ownership, and continuous improvement
