We're supporting a leading logistics and customs specialist in seeking an experienced Customs Broker to join their established customs team based in Bradford. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented Customs Broker to support a major client account, managing import customs declarations from initial entry through to final cargo release and invoicing. The successful Customs Broker will join a busy operation processing approximately 1,500 import customs entries each month, making this an ideal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple shipments simultaneously. The position offers the chance for a skilled Customs Broker to play a key role in ensuring the efficient and compliant movement of goods while working closely with customers, customs authorities and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit import customs declarations using CargoWise and the Customs Declaration Service (CDS).
- Ensure customs entries are completed accurately and in compliance with all relevant customs regulations and client requirements.
- Monitor declarations throughout the clearance process and proactively manage any issues that may impact cargo release.
- Liaise with HMRC, customs authorities, government agencies, carriers and other stakeholders.
