We are pleased to be supporting a well-established and successful manufacturing organisation based in BD14. As the business prepares for the planned retirement of the current post holder, we are looking for the next Payroll Supervisor & HR Officer to join the company. This is a varied and responsible position, primarily focused on managing end-to-end payroll processes, alongside providing support across a range of HR functions. This is a fully site-based role, with flexibility for both full-time and reduced hours for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing weekly payroll operations from start to finish
- Extracting employee hours from the Time & Attendance system and verifying piecework job tickets
- Inputting payroll data into relevant systems and carrying out validation checks
- Resolving payroll-related queries in a timely and professional manner
- Producing reports and maintaining accurate digital payroll records
- Creating and analysing Excel reports and KPIs, including nominal coding for management
- Maintaining records for holidays, sickness, pensions, and other personnel data
- Supporting HR processes including onboarding and offboarding documentation
- Assisting in screening applications and liaising with department managers
- Carrying out additional payroll and HR-related duties as required
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing is essential
- Background in a payroll and/or HR support role
- Competence in payroll software and Time & Attendance systems
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Supervisory experience would be advantageous
- An interest in further HR development is encouraged, and support for professional qualifications may be available
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm (30-minute lunch)
Friday: 8:00am – 1:30pm (no lunch break)
Total: 37.5 hours per week
Salary & Benefits:
£35,000 – £38,000 per annum, depending on experience (pro rata for reduced hours)
