Temporary Payroll Specialist – Leeds (Hybrid) | £17.94 - £19.48 per hour

We're partnering with a leading tech company in Leeds City Centre to find an experienced Payroll Specialist to support their payroll team on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a busy, fast-paced environment and make an impact. You'll be responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll for 2,500+ employees across the UK and Internationally, working with international teams and ensuring timely and accurate payroll delivery.
What You'll Be Doing in the Payroll Specialist role:
- End-to-end payroll processing for UK and international employees
- Generate time and attendance reports
- Process new starters and leavers
- Handle sickness and absence in line with statutory entitlements and company policies
- Administer company pension schemes and ensure compliance with auto-enrolment
- Manage deductions such as attachment of earnings orders, staff loans, and cycle-to-work schemes
- Process overtime, on-call payments, bonuses, pay increases, and contractual changes
- Use payroll software for data imports and reporting
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of PAYE/NIC, statutory payments (SMP/SAP, SPP, SSP), and pension uploads
- Stay current on payroll legislation and compliance requirements
- Maintain and update payroll standard operating procedures

- Strong end-to-end payroll experience in a high-volume, multi-country environment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex payrolls
- Confident handling payroll legislation, statutory requirements, and pension compliance
- Available immediately or at short notice
