Temporary Payroll Specialist – Leeds (Hybrid) | £17.94 - £19.48 per hour

Duration: Up to 3 months (potential to extend)

Location: Leeds City Centre – Hybrid working available

We're partnering with a leading tech company in Leeds City Centre to find an experienced Payroll Specialist to support their payroll team on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a busy, fast-paced environment and make an impact. You'll be responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll for 2,500+ employees across the UK and Internationally, working with international teams and ensuring timely and accurate payroll delivery.

What You'll Be Doing in the Payroll Specialist role:

  • End-to-end payroll processing for UK and international employees
  • Generate time and attendance reports
  • Process new starters and leavers
  • Handle sickness and absence in line with statutory entitlements and company policies
  • Administer company pension schemes and ensure compliance with auto-enrolment
  • Manage deductions such as attachment of earnings orders, staff loans, and cycle-to-work schemes
  • Process overtime, on-call payments, bonuses, pay increases, and contractual changes
  • Use payroll software for data imports and reporting
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of PAYE/NIC, statutory payments (SMP/SAP, SPP, SSP), and pension uploads
  • Stay current on payroll legislation and compliance requirements
  • Maintain and update payroll standard operating procedures

  • Strong end-to-end payroll experience in a high-volume, multi-country environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex payrolls
  • Confident handling payroll legislation, statutory requirements, and pension compliance
  • Available immediately or at short notice
