This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically minded, hands-on and keen to develop their skills . You don't need to have years of manufacturing experience — a strong mechanical aptitude, willingness to learn and ability to understand how machinery works could be just as valuable. As a Machine Operator - Setter , you'll be responsible for setting and operating machinery, working from production drawings and specifications, and carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet the required standards. What you'll be doing: Setting and operating machinery using the correct tooling Reading production drawings and works orders Carrying out quality inspections and accurate weighing Identifying materials and ensuring products meet specifications Supporting tooling control and fault finding Working closely with Technical and Quality teams Working safely and maintaining high standards of quality We're looking for a Machine Operator - Setter who is: Mechanically minded and confident working with machinery A good problem solver with strong attention to detail Reliable, adaptable and willing to learn Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Able to read and understand production drawings Quality-focused with a strong work ethic Previous manufacturing, machine setting or cold forming experience would be advantageous, but mechanical interest and aptitude are key .
